Luis was born in Sahuayo Michoacán, Mexico, but grew up in Santa Ana, California, where he drew inspiration from the urban landscape and natural surroundings, creating murals and illustrations. His love for nature and his cultural roots drive him to use his art as a form of expression and motivation. Despite the challenges of his environment as a child, Luis found solace in his artistic expression, which prevented him from going down a dangerous path. As a teenager, he explored the city, drawing inspiration from blank walls and murals, which led to his passion for public art. His education at Laguna College of Art and Design helped him refine his color, composition, values, and narrative skills.
